After 34 years on the north side of Chicago, Chicago Ballet Arts (CBA) moved into a beautiful new home in Evanston at 915 Foster Street, formerly the location of Foster Dance, in the fall of 2020. CBA brings with it a rich tradition of providing high quality ballet training in an inclusive environment and prides itself on serving all students who have a desire to learn. Classes are available for ages 2 and above.
What makes CBA special? CBA believes in creating a diverse, nurturing environment with high standards of excellence for all of its students. No audition is required and each student is encouraged to reach their fullest potential through small class sizes that allow for individual attention and engagement. Classes in the pre-professional division feature live accompaniment provided by trained musicians fostering a love, understanding, and appreciation of both dance and music. The school presents at least one full production per year and also offers additional performance opportunities for its middle and upper level students.
CBA has been anchored by its sense of community since its inception. It has been a home away from home for our dancers and a space for students to learn and grow not only as artists, but as people. Alumni have gone on not only to dance professionally, but have also moved into successful careers in law, medicine, education, culinary arts, accounting, engineering, and more. An arts education has a lasting impact and we feel privileged to play a role in the fabric of our student’s lives. Come experience the CBA family!
