Finding a preschool for your kids is always something of a challenge- you want to make sure that both you and your child like the teachers and the facilities, that the scheduling works for you, and more. Above all, you want to know that your child will be loved and cared for. Leaving them with people who aren’t friends or family, often for the first time, isn’t easy.

While nothing will make that first drop-off truly easy, knowing that you’re leaving your child with dedicated, caring teachers who go above and beyond for their kids every day definitely makes it a lot less difficult. And, before long, your kid will be downright excited to be dropped off every morning.

Cherry Preschool in Evanston is exactly the kind of preschool that every parent is looking for. Cherry is a not-for-profit, parent-governed school. That means that the kids come first- always. The teachers at Cherry Preschool have a passion for what they do, and they love the kids they work with. Each child is treated with care.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Cherry was the first school in Evanston to create a virtual learning program. This was put together by the teachers out of their love for the students. They were determined to make sure that the kids had something to do to maintain a sense of normalcy and connection during those troubling times.

hen they allowed children to return in person, Cherry took no chances and spared no expense when it came to ensuring the safety of their children and teachers. Because of that dedication to safety, there hasn’t been a single outbreak of COVID among the students and teachers there.

Every child is welcome at Cherry Preschool. If your child has special needs, that’s fine, Cherry is ready to include them. In fact, inclusion of children with special needs is a core part of the school’s mission.

Because it’s a parent-governed school, you get to be involved in the education of your child and the operation of the school itself. You have a say in the school’s direction, along with all the other parents.

Preschool, like all childcare, gets expensive. Of course, there’s a good reason for that- it costs a lot of money to operate a preschool. But Cherry is committed to making quality preschool accessible to everyone. To that end, Cherry Preschool has tuition scholarships available for families that need them.
