Viking Gymnastics Summer Gymnastics Camp

Summer gymnastics camp offers students the perfect opportunity to stay active while acquiring and refining their skills on each apparatus. Additional activities range from team-building to obstacle courses and trampolines to art projects. Our goal is to provide a well-rounded experience that enhances gymnastics skills and promotes teamwork, creativity, and physical fitness. Apachi Evanston Day Camp

Apachi Evanston Day Camp creates a safe, welcoming space where every camper can thrive and build friendships. Campers enjoy sports, performing arts, cooking, arts and crafts, theme days, Shabbat celebrations and so much more. Specialty camps offer focused experiences for different interests. Sports Camp helps 2nd–6th graders build skills through drills and games. Performing Arts Camp allows 3rd–8th graders to explore acting, dance, musical theatre, and more with professional guidance. Chaverim on the Go for 6th–8th graders combines traditional camp fun with exciting weekly field trips and community impact opportunities. All specialty camps blend skill-building with classic camp fun.

Piven Theatre Workshop Summer Camps

Piven is a great place for kids to explore their creative side and build confidence with theatre games, improv, and more: from our Late Summer 1-Week Camps for 3rd-8th Graders, to our Saturday, 7th-12th Grade Improv & Scene Study. New to Piven this summer is the TTRPG and LARP Camp for 4th-8th Graders (filled with character creation, costume quests, and prop building).

CALLING ALL MAKERS & ARTISTS & CREATIVES! Your young artist may join us for 1 week, all summer long, or mix and match. Each week we will embark on a creative exploration of awesome materials ready for reuse & new, using techniques in painting, collaging, sewing, printmaking, sculpture, woodworking, jewelry making, mixed media, cardboard building, 3D & 2D designs and so much more. Your young artist will learn to use a variety of tools and machinery, while they explore our studio full of reclaimed & new materials, small, and large, while they create various free-form project based work! Our skilled facilitators will teach new techniques, and foster an environment where your young artist is free to be themselves and can create freely with guidance as they need it. They will be encouraged to make new friends as they spend time designing, exploring and experimenting on their own and with their friends as they create imaginative projects and express themselves artistically. Hands-on skilled artist & maker facilitators, teens & CIT’s work at our camps making your young artists experience unique and fun. Each day will begin with a demonstration focused on new materials, techniques and inspiration for projects…..What can you make you ask? Anything you can imagine is our answer!

McGaw YMCA’s Summer Day Camp

At McGaw YMCA’s Summer Day Camp, kids explore the outdoors, develop new skills, and build relationships that last a lifetime. Get ready for unforgettable experiences that include a variety of activities like field trips, swimming, archery, fishing, arts & crafts, sports, epic group games, fun team building activities, and STEAM-tacular adventures in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math, plus a whole lot more! Breakfast, lunch, and a snack will be provided daily.

Evanston Ecology Center Summer Camps

Wildflower Camp (ages 3-4)

This one-of-a-kind preschool camp in Evanston gives little ones the space to build motor skills, spark creativity, and discover the natural world through play. Each two-week session runs Monday through Friday around a rotating theme, blending outdoor exploration with hands-on crafts, storytelling, songs, and nature discoveries. A great first camp experience for Evanston’s youngest adventurers. Campers must be toilet trained prior to the start of their session.

EcoQuest Day Camp (ages 5-7, entering K-2nd grade)

EcoQuest Day Camp blends the best of traditional summer camp with fresh, nature-focused programming led by enthusiastic staff right here in Evanston. Campers spend their days building a deeper connection to the natural world through hands-on activities like outdoor exploration, arts and crafts, science experiments, imaginative play, stories, and songs. It’s the kind of summer experience that feels like pure fun while quietly sparking a lifelong curiosity about the environment.

EcoTravelers (ages 8-9, entering grades 3 & 4)

EcoTravelers takes Evanston kids on a journey through Illinois’ natural history, uncovering how the past has shaped the world we live in today. Campers explore big ideas through experiments, challenges, games, crafts, and hands-on activities that make learning feel like an adventure. Every session comes packed with highlights, including a beach day on Lake Michigan, a field trip, a canoe trip, a fishing expedition, and a one-night campout under the stars.

EcoExplorer Camp (ages 10-11, entering grades 5 and 6)

EcoExplorer is designed for older campers in Evanston who are ready to go deeper into nature and outdoor recreation. This program bridges environmental awareness with real outdoor skills, building a genuine appreciation for the natural world through team challenges, games, arts, community service projects, and hands-on experiences. The second week shifts focus to outdoor living and camping skills, grounded in the Leave No Trace philosophy. Y.O.U. (Youth Opportunity United) Summer Program

What Does the Y.O.U. Summer Program Offer?

Creative Workshops: Hands-on activities in art, music, and creative writing.
STEM Learning: Engaging projects in science, technology, engineering, and math.
Field Trips: Weekly adventures to exciting destinations in and around Chicago.
Recreation & Wellness: Sports, games, mindfulness activities, and outdoor experiences.
Community Building: Opportunities to connect with peers and caring mentors in a safe, supportive environment.

Chicago Union Full Day Frisbee Camp

An unforgettable full-day week of Ultimate led by Chicago Union coaches. Campers sharpen skills, boost field awareness and build teamwork, with each day mixing Ultimate action with soccer and football-style drills and creative challenges.

Junior Golf and Tennis Camp

Junior Golf & Tennis Camp tees up nonstop action! Young athletes sharpen their swings and serves with pro-led skill sessions, friendly competitions, creative games, and fresh-air fun. Summer Daze Tennis Camp

A personalized tennis program for all levels, from beginners to advanced players. Campers are grouped by age and ability and work on stroke development, strategy and footwork patterns. Available in both morning and afternoon sessions.

Tennis & Soccer Camp

A unique multi-sport camp combining tennis in the morning and soccer in the afternoon. Campers work on dribbling, shooting, ball control and small group tactics alongside serve and stroke development.

Brazilian United Soccer Camp

Open to all skill levels, this camp develops technical soccer skills through engaging cultural activities, mini-tournaments and plenty of fun. Campers learn from professional Brazilian soccer coaches and receive a customized evaluation card. Available in half-day and full-day formats.

Future Soccer Stars Camp

A fun and engaging introduction to soccer for the youngest players. Through storytelling and playful activities, this program promotes motor and cognitive development in a comfortable, supportive setting.

The ultimate multi-sport summer experience! Skilled instructors teach fundamentals each morning, then hit the field for action-packed games. Beach days, fishing, and canoeing adventures round out the week.

Preschool Gymnastics Camp

Instructors work with the youngest campers to improve coordination, balance, flexibility and general motor skills in a fun, safe environment, with a focus on basic skills on bars, beam, floor and vault.

Beginning Gymnastics Camp

Introduces skills and drills that are fun, safe and accessible for campers of all backgrounds. Focuses on basic techniques on bars, beam, floor and vault. Available for ages 5–7 and ages 8–11.

Learn to Skate Hockey Camp

Daily ice sessions, outdoor activities and off-ice conditioning introduce campers to the fundamentals of skating and the basics of hockey. Skate rental is included; campers must bring a helmet, knee pads and elbow pads.

Learn to Figure Skate Camp

Campers are introduced to the basics of figure skating through a variety of on-ice and off-ice activities. Skate rental is included in the fee.
